Debbie has recently re-joined the Obsession family and is already in demand as our go-to wedding hair expert.
Debbie first joined Obsession in the 80’s but left to move abroad. When she returned to these shores earlier this year Debbie said Obsession was her first choice for employment. “I remembered being so happy here that I asked to come back!”
Debbie brings a wealth of experience with her, having worked in the industry for over 30 years. She has attended colouring courses, barbering courses, entered the L’Oréal Colour Trophy, worked on stage at the Clothes Show Live, attended seminars with Patrick Cameron and had her work showcased in Bella and Best magazines. Her experience is a real asset to the Obsession team.
However, Debbie’s real passion lies in wedding hair. “I love doing wedding hair, prom hair up-do’s and long hair work. If your dream hair is a glamorous look of cascading waves or a classic chignon with a modern twist, then I can make this a reality for you.’ says Debbie. “I would first recommend booking in for our free wedding hair consultation so we can discuss all your ideas, I can get an idea what style wedding you’re having and what your dress is like. I can offer you bespoke advice on style, colour and any hair accessories to tailored to your overall look and then we can book in a hair trial before the big day to make sure you’re happy with what we’ve discussed. My aim is to make you look and feel confident and gorgeous on your wedding day.”
Debbie’s clients love her natural chatty personality which immediately puts them at ease, particularly if pre-wedding nerves are taking over. “We provide a calm, relaxed atmosphere in salon; all your hair needs are taken care of and all you have to do is enjoy our refreshments in our luxurious salon! My clients often say I’m like a friend to them but I think I went too far once when saying goodbye to a client and accidentally said ‘Love you” instead of ‘Goodbye’! It’s probably as Debbie has been used to waving off three children over the years, all of whom keep her busy and on her toes now. “My girls always keep me up to date with what’s happening in the fashion industry and any new trends that are happening.” When my children aren’t keeping me busy I’m kicking back with a true-life crime documentary and perhaps a takeaway. I also drink far too much coffee (love that we now offer Nespresso coffee and the yummy artisan biscuits from Heavenly Baking in salon) and I spend far too much on shoes but that’s a story for another time!”
