What Are HD Brows?
HD Brows is a bespoke eyebrow treatment that is totally tailored to you – not a brow stencil in sight. Your brows are personalised to your needs, and we use a combination of custom-blended colour, hair removal and make up application to create your dream brows.
How long do HD Brows last?
The effects of the treatment usually last around 4-6 weeks, however this can vary depending on your hair growth. After your first few treatments your Therapist will be able to recommend how often you should be having the treatment done.
The HD Brows treatment process
Consultation
From brushed up brows to neat and defined, choosing the right brow look can be difficult. That’s why every HD Brows treatment starts with a consultation where your Therapist will help you choose based on your face shape, skin tone and of course, your style.
Tinting
Unlike a regular eyebrow tint, we’ll apply the tint around the brow to pick up those fair and fluffy hairs you didn’t even realise where there. We use custom-blended HD Brow Dyes to create the perfect tone to complement your skin tone, hair tone and overall style.
Waxing
Your Therapist will begin to create your dream eyebrow shape through waxing, keeping in mind any areas where you may want to re-grow hair, working towards your long-term brow goals.
Threading
Next, your Therapist will create a smooth, neat finish with threading. In the HD Brows treatment, we use threading to remove any fluffy hairs above and below the brow to ensure there’s no tell-tale signs of waxing.
Tweezing and finishing
We’re perfectionists, so this is where we work to make those fresh brows even fresher. If necessary, your Therapist will tweeze any stray hairs, trim unruly hairs down and create a finish that suits your style.
Aftercare
Your Therapist will finish the treatment with some aftercare advice to help you maintain your results, along with some product recommendations (see below for details). This is especially important if you’re on a re-growth programme, working towards your dream brows.
HD Brows FAQs
I have sparse or overplucked brows; can I still get HD Brows?
Your Therapist will work with you on a regrowth programme to achieve the perfect brow shape.
Are HD Brows semi-permanent?
The treatment is not classed as semi-permanent; however, we do use permanent tint on the brows during the treatment. The lasting effects of this vary depending on skin type, hair growth and skin care routine. Results of the HD Brows treatment typically last around 4-6 weeks
Do I need to do a patch test?
You will need a skin test prior to your first appointment for HD Brows. You will only need to re-take the patch test if there is a six month break between treatments, or you have changes to your medical history.
How many HD Brows treatments do I need to achieve my desired shape?
This completely depends on the amount of hair you have to begin with. Our Therapists will be able to advise how many treatments they recommend giving you the brows you eventually want during your first consultation.
What is HD BrowSculpt?
BrowSculpt is brow lamination with a bespoke HD Brows twist. Brow lamination is a two-step eyebrow perming treatment that involves correcting the brow shape by setting the hairs in place using a chemical solution. In the first step, a cream is applied that breaks down bonds in the eyebrow hairs so they can be manipulated into a new position. In the second step, another cream is applied to rebuild these bonds and set the brows in their new uniform position.
If you have unruly, flat or downward growing hairs, eyebrow lamination can change the direction of growth to create a more uniform look with a higher arch and a more desirable brow shape. Brow lamination lasts 4 to 6 weeks generally, with proper care allowing the brow treatment to last as long as 8 weeks.
Eyebrow Lamination Correction
The results using our BrowSculpt product technology can dramatically enhance the shape of your eyebrows, helping you to achieve your dream brows in as little as one treatment. It’s ideal if you want to change your full brow shape, but did you know that our treatment can be tailored to correct smaller targeted unruly areas? Your Therapist is able to offer you brow lamination in specific areas that suit your brow needs, perfect if you just want to add symmetry.
Eyebrow Lamination Lift
From an extreme brushed up look to a subtle lift (and everything in between), your brows will appear fuller in an instant using your existing brow hair, making it a great microblading alternative. In order to achieve this lift, brow lamination relaxes and reforms the hairs, which also makes them easier to manipulate into your desired position – another bonus if you have unruly hairs! Your morning beauty routine just got a whole lot quicker.
How long does brow lamination last?
The results of a brow lamination treatment usually last up to six weeks. To ensure longevity from your treatment results, avoid getting them wet for 24 hours and contact with direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for the next 48 hours. Using a conditioning eyebrow serum every day will also help to maintain results. Read the aftercare information below for more info.
The HD BrowSculpt Treatment Process
Consultation
All of our treatments begin with a thorough consultation, so your Thereapist can establish your brow goals and work to achieve them.
Relaxing the hair
We’ll start the brow lamination process by relaxing the hair: breaking down the hair structure to make it straighter and easier to manipulate.
Setting the shape
Next, we’ll brush them into your desired position before applying a treatment lotion that sets the brows in place, completing the brow lamination process.
Bespoke brow tinting
Your Therapist will then tint your brows, using brow dyes to mix a custom colour that that’s totally bespoke to you.
Mapping the brows
Now that your hairs are in their new position, you’ll need a new shape to match. We’ll create it with a combination of waxing, threading, tweezing and feathering.
Finishing
Those finishing touches make your fresh brows feel even fresher, even if it’s just adding a hair stroke or two.
Aftercare
It’s really easy to care for your brows following a lamination treatment. For the first 24 hours, you should treat your brows with care, avoiding getting them wet, steam baths and saunas. After this time, you can treat them normal, simply brushing into place every morning with a spoolie. Read our aftercare guidelines below for more info.
HD Brows brow lamination FAQs
Is brow lamination suitable for me?
Brow lamination works for most eyebrow shapes and styles, from full to sparse, so is ideal for anyone looking to improve the shape of their brows.
Does the brow lamination treatment involve adding in hairs?
Not at all – there’s no eyebrow extensions or permanent make up involved in a brow lamination treatment. The treatment uses entirely your own brow hair. It’s the eyebrow repositioning and shape correction that gives a fuller appearance.
Is brow lamination safe?
Brow lamination is safe if done by a trained professional. Your Therapist will ask relevant questions and if required you may need a skin test to ensure that the treatment and products are suitable for you. We will also talk you through the correct aftercare procedures to help you maintain healthy brows.
Is brow lamination the same as a lash lift?
Brow lamination and lash lifts are similar treatments. Lamination uses the same principles as a lash lift or LVL treatment, breaking down the bonds in the eyebrow hairs so they can then be reset in your desired position. However, each treatment is tailored to the different positions that the hairs will be reset – lashes will be curled while brow hairs will be flat against the skin and brushed into your desired shape.
Is brow lamination permanent?
Brow lamination is not a permanent treatment. Results generally last up to 6 weeks, however it all depends on you following the correct aftercare procedures to help maintain those fresh results for as long as possible.
Following a brow lamination treatment, your hairs are not permanently set into the fluffy position; the hairs are simply easier to manipulate into your desired shape. All you need to do is brush through with a spoolie brush in the morning to get them back into shape.
Can you have a brow lamination when pregnant?
We do not recommend brow lamination for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Pregnancy causes a change in hormones that can leave you more prone to reactions after your treatment. Reactions can occur during the brow lamination process or when eyebrow tint is applied, so it’s safer to avoid HD BrowSculpt treatments when pregnant or breastfeeding.
Does brow lamination ruin your eyebrows?
Brow lamination will not ruin your brows, as long as you visit a trained professional and follow the correct aftercare procedure.
Chemical treatments can cause hairs to become dry and eventually lead to damage, so applying an eyebrow conditioner every day helps to keep them soft, sleek and healthy.
Can you get a brow lamination after microblading?
You can get brow lamination treatments after microblading; however, you must ensure that the skin is fully healed before getting the treatment. Healing time can vary from person to person. It is also worth remembering that the microblading design may not be the same as the look that is often achieved with brow lamination. For example, if the microblading hair strokes follow the natural brow growth then the lamination would change the direction of those hairs. It is also worth noting that brow lamination products could cause ‘forced fading’ meaning the microblading could fade or change colour with repeated lamination treatments.

Is it safe to lighten eyebrows?
Yes, our Therapists are all highly trained and Kirsten, Assistant Head of Spa, is our resident expert in HD Brows having undergone extensive training so you know you’re in safe hands!
How long will brow lightening last?
The results of a brow lightening treatment will last up to 6 weeks. You will need to follow the aftercare advice given by your Therapist to ensure you maintain the results as long as possible.
Is brow lightening suitable for me?
Brow lightening is suitable for lots of people, including those looking to get a lighter brow shade, tame and soften coarse hairs, cover greys with brow tint, or even achieve an on-trend bleached brow look (if you dare). The only people who are not suitable for brow lightening are those under 16, or those who are pregnant, breastfeeding or undergoing IVF.
Your Therapist will talk to you after your treatment about how to look after your brows and there’s some tips below which we recommend you read to ensure your brows look good for longer.
We stock two products in salon which are recommended following a HD Brows treatment.
Brow Miracle Daily Conditioner
A conditioning brow serum that contains hyaluronic acid, known for its moisturising and softening properties.
It’s an ideal serum to care for brows after treatments, if you have dry, damaged brows, or if you find tint fades quickly and want to prolong the intensity.
We recommend using every morning and evening as part of your routine to help your brow tint lasts longer.
SOS Rescue Brow Balm
This nourishing balm contains argan oil and castor oil as well as shea butter and the result is an intensely rich formula that will hydrate and restore areas in need of a little TLC post-treatment.
We recommend SOS Rescue Brow Balm is used twice a week at night (apply liberally and leave on overnight for maximum benefits).
Here are our recommendations on aftercare following your appointment.
1.Do not pluck. Not only does this top our list of eyebrow growth tips, it tops our aftercare tips, too. Yes, you may get the odd stray hair in between appointments, but your stylist will have a vision for your brows and removing just one hair could affect their re-growth programme treatment plan for you.
2. Avoid using self-tanning products (including gradual tanners) on the face for around two to three days either side of any brow treatment that involves tinting. The tan can react and turn your freshly coloured eyebrows a shade of green (the Hulk brow trend is one that’s yet to take off).
3. Hair removal can leave the skin a little more sensitive, so avoid exfoliating and anti-ageing skincare products around the brow area for three days either side of the treatment.
4. Yes, your brows look great but do not touch. Your fingers could carry excess oils that can clog open pores, resulting in spots. So please avoid rubbing or touching your brows for 24 hours post-treatment.
5. To protect your new brow look and the delicate skin in this area, you should avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms, gyms and swimming pools for 48 hours after your treatment.
6. We advise that you avoid applying any further, heavy make up for 24 hours following eyebrow waxing or threading. Applying make up, including foundations or concealers, to the skin around the brow could clog your open follicles, leading to bumps or spots.
7. For lamination guests, it is advisable to keep the brow area dry for 24 hours post-treatment. Coming into contact with water could interfere with the lamination process and impact the longevity of your treatment. Avoid swimming pools and baths for 24 hours and be extra careful in the shower and when washing your face (avoiding if possible).
8. For our HD Brow guests, it’s perfectly fine to get your brows wet after your treatment. However, for 48 hours after your treatment, heat and moisture may cause slight irritation to your skin, so we recommend against the use of saunas, steam rooms, etc. Showers are fine but maybe delay that long soak in the bath.
9. Do not forget to apply your conditioning serum twice daily.
