2018 Hairtrends

1. Keep the Curls
2017 saw the returns of the curls and this year is keeping them! Great if you have naturally curly hair because you can leave it to dry and go.
2. Dirty Blonde
The new ‘A list’ colour trend. Rather than platinum, go for golden shades with warmer tones all over.
3. Big Bouncy Blow Dry
Think back to Cindy Crawford bouncing along the beach in her white jeans. Ok, you can ditch the white jeans if you want but keep the hair. Textured with volume.
4. Head Scarves
We are going all out with granny chic this year! Maybe a little more glam than that (sorry grannies!). Printed silk head scarves with a luxury Italian feel are definitely in. Tie the scarf flat around your head with a low chignon and you are all set. Opt for subtle patterns and play around with what suits you.
5. Undone Wet Look
Think just got out the shower and you have it! Well slightly less dripping. Leave wet hair loose, rather than the slicked back of previous years to give a tousled look. We love Rihanna’s wet curl look here.
6. Scrunchies
No, 1985 do not want their hair scrunchies back. You need them! Well, if you have long hair. Tie in a loose ponytail and think understated rather than too retro. Keep your srunchie plain!
7. Hairband
Whatever your style a hair band can add trend to it. The bolder the print the better and looks great with a fringe or ponytail.
8. Silver Hair
Last year we saw the pastels and particularly the grey. This year silver is the new grey. Metallics are really hot now too.
9. Schoolgirl Plaits
You don’t have to look like a schoolgirl at 40, but you can look chic. Keep it loose and a bit untidy. We love this single plait with a slightly tousled finish.
10. Fringe Bob
As opposed to sponge bob. Fringe bob works really well and softens your face giving you a youthful appearance if you are a little older too!
